PIXAR PUTT TEES OFF IN MELBOURNE WORLD-FIRST

Pixar Putt has taken over the river terrace at Melbourne’s Federation Square and it’s everything a fan could hope it to be.

18 intricately designed holes representing the almost every major film in the animation studio’s history.

“My favourite hole here is UP,” said Spencer McLaren, General Manager of Lifelike Touring who has partnered with Disney on the project.

“You have to putt into the house, then operate a winch that flies the house to the top of Paradise Falls and then you have to release the balls and you may or may not get a hole-in-one from there.”

Dodging seagulls down a wooden pier from Finding Nemo and using the strings of Miguel’s guitar to reach the hole from Coco are among the highlights.

The Brave course, challenges putters to hit up a ramp to the bulls-eye of an archery target for a hole-in-one.

“The guys at the design team have really worked close with Pixar animation to really bring the heart and soul of each of these films into a mini-golf-hole.”

“This is the perfect meeting of mini-golf and Pixar. It’s going to be a riot,” said McLaren.

Pixar Putt will stay in Melbourne until February 3, 2019 – but there’s already plans to take it on the road.

“The plan is definitely is to tour here and internationally with this,” said McLaren.

“You can do 9 or 18 holes, whatever you like. Take your game to ‘Infinity and Beyond’ as some would say (laughs).”

Tickets are available at the Pixar Putt website.
